HSC paragraph Kishor Gang

Across the country, Kishor Gang particularly in areas like Dhaka, has raised serious concerns. The teenages are getting themselves engaged in criminal activities within urban areas, which is creating a lot of troubles. The gang which is made of the teenagers is called Kishor Gang and the teenagers who are involved in drug dealing, extortion, snatching, harassing
women and other offices are the mambe of Kishor Gang.

As of January 2024, around 50 active teen gangs operate in Dhaka, with more across the country. These gangs offen receive backing from some ruling party leaders, political leaders act as influential elder borders. Kishor Gang usually have a hierarchical structure, where leaders hold significant control over the group. These gangs are involved in drug trafficking, extortion, theft, robbery, and acts of violence, including street fights that can result in injuries and fatalities.
Vandalism and public disorder are also seen. Recruitment in such gangs often occurs through social networks, school and disadvantaged neighbourhoods . They target vulnerable teenagers who face social exclusion or neglect .The allure of power, protection, and belonging within the gang, alone with media influencers, attract young individuals. Teen gang culture has significant social, economic, and phycological impact. It increases crime rates and creates fear and insecurity in communities.
The government has intensified efforts to address the issue though law enforcement and comm6based initiatives. At last it can be said that by working together, we can build a society in which our youth will be empowered to make positive contributions to their communities. The time to act is now , for the sake of both present and future generations.
